How Our Chiropractic Care Actually Works
Not a back-cracking show. Targeted, evidence-based spinal adjustments paired with the most effective adjunct therapies in the Lowcountry.
Find the source
Postural exam, range-of-motion testing, neurological screening, and digital X-ray on-site if needed ($50 cash). We pinpoint exactly which spinal segment is firing the pain or restricting motion.
Restore the alignment
Specific, low-force adjustments restore proper joint motion in the spine and pelvis. When the vertebrae move the way they’re built to, muscles unclench, discs decompress, and nerves stop firing distress signals.
Combine for faster results
For stubborn or chronic cases we layer adjustments with Class IV laser (drop inflammation), SoftWave (regenerate tissue), spinal decompression (relieve disc pressure), PEMF, or red light therapy — whichever moves the needle fastest for you.
One clinic. Six adjunct therapies. Every angle of your spine covered.
Most chiropractors only have one tool: the adjustment. We start there too — but when a case needs more, we have laser, SoftWave, spinal decompression, PEMF, red light, and on-site X-ray all under one roof. That’s why we get patients better when other clinics couldn’t.

Common questions about chiropractic care
Will my insurance cover chiropractic adjustments?
Most major medical plans cover chiropractic care to some extent. We verify your benefits before your first visit so you know exactly what’s covered and what’s not. We also accept HSA/FSA and offer cash payment plans.
Do you take auto-accident insurance?
Yes — auto accident cases are one of our specialties. We document everything for your insurance company and attorney if needed, and we typically get patients in within 24-48 hours of the accident.
How many visits will I need?
Depends on the case. Acute injuries: 4-8 visits. Chronic pain: 8-12 visits. Wellness maintenance: monthly or bi-weekly. We give you a clear treatment plan and visit count after your initial exam — no open-ended “come forever” routine.
Is the adjustment painful?
No. Most patients describe it as relieving. The popping sound is just gas releasing from the joint — nothing is being broken or forced. We use low-force techniques for sensitive patients, kids, and prenatal moms.
Do I need a referral?
No. Chiropractic is direct-access in South Carolina — you can book directly. We’ll do X-rays on-site if needed ($50 cash, no referral, same-day).
Where are you located?

More common chiropractic questions
Is chiropractic adjustment safe?
Yes. Chiropractic adjustments delivered by a licensed chiropractor have an excellent safety record â the most common side effect is mild, short-lived soreness similar to the day after a workout. We screen every new patient for red flags before any hands-on care.
How often will I need to come in?
It depends on what we find. Acute pain often improves in 2â4 visits; structural issues, posture problems, or longstanding restrictions usually need a short corrective phase (typically 6â12 visits) followed by a maintenance cadence you choose.
Will my insurance cover chiropractic care?
Most major plans include some chiropractic coverage. We verify your benefits before your first adjustment so there are no surprises, and we offer transparent cash-pay rates for anyone whose plan doesn't cover us.
What happens at my first visit?
About 45 minutes total: a focused history, a movement and orthopedic exam, posture assessment, and (when indicated) imaging. If you're a fit for care, your first adjustment usually happens the same visit so you leave with momentum, not just a plan.
Do you "crack" necks?
We do hands-on cervical adjustments when they're appropriate, and we also offer low-force / instrument-assisted alternatives (like Activator) for patients who prefer no audible cavitation. You'll never get a technique you didn't consent to.
Is chiropractic safe for kids, seniors, and during pregnancy?
Yes â with the right technique. We modify pressure, position, and method for pregnant patients, older adults with osteoporosis concerns, and pediatric patients. Tell us about your situation and we'll tailor the visit.
