What “integrative” actually means here
Plenty of clinics use the word. Here it means something specific: a nurse practitioner and a chiropractic team under one roof, sharing one chart, so the medical side and the hands-on side are not working in the dark about each other.
In practice that looks like using bloodwork to guide hormone care, pairing an infusion protocol with the physical work that keeps the result, and being straight with you when something is outside what we do — in which case we say so and point you to the right person.
We are cash-pay and we do not bill insurance, which means the plan is built around what you actually need rather than what a code allows.
Who leads it: Kayla Blann, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified. Kayla leads the IV and integrative side of the clinic — EBOO therapy, ozone, regenerative infusions, medical weight loss and hormone optimization. She graduated with honors from South College’s Family Nurse Practitioner program after building a foundation in progressive care nursing across multiple clinical settings.
She practises under a collaborating physician agreement, as required in South Carolina.
The medical side
Nurse-practitioner-led, with bloodwork where bloodwork belongs.
We also offer medically supervised weight loss using GLP-1 therapy alongside nutrition support, and thermal imaging when it helps us see inflammation patterns before deciding a plan.
The drug-free side
The other half of integrative care is the hands-on work that changes the structure causing the problem. Same building, same team, same chart:

What is integrative medicine?
It means combining conventional medical care with evidence-informed therapies that are not drug-first, and coordinating them deliberately rather than leaving you to assemble a plan from separate providers. At our North Charleston clinic that is a nurse practitioner and a chiropractic team working from the same chart.
Is this the same as functional medicine or naturopathy?
No, and the distinction matters. We are not naturopaths — naturopathic practice is not permitted in South Carolina, so no clinic in this state can lawfully offer it. We also do not market ourselves as a certified functional medicine practice. What we do is integrative: licensed clinicians, real diagnostics where they help, and drug-free therapies alongside medical care.
Who provides the medical care?
Kayla Blann, FNP-C, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, leads the IV, infusion, hormone and medical weight-loss side, practising under a collaborating physician agreement as South Carolina requires. Chiropractic care is delivered by our doctors of chiropractic, led by Dr. Angela Tharnish, DC.
Do you take insurance?
We are cash-pay and do not bill insurance. In practice that means your plan is built around what you actually need rather than what a billing code permits, and you know the cost before you start. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services.
